Community Projects
Graafwater is a little town on the West Coast of South Africa. A large percentage of the inheritance (people) is dependent on seasonal work at the surrounding farms or Government grants. Social problems rife in this pour community. Littering around the town is a big problem and a sore eye.
King’s Products sponsored the joint cleaning event in partnership with the following groups:
- The Special High School Graafwater (directly)
- The Dutch Reformed Church Graafwater (indirectly/represented)
- The Graafwater Clinic Committee (indirectly/represented)
- The Graafwater Police Forum (indirectly/represented)
- The Graafwater Social Services organisation (indirectly/represented)
- The Graafwater municipality (directly)
- Graafwater individuals (directly)
The project is educational for the pupils who do the clean-up and makes everybody aware of the importance of not littering and being proud of your own neighbourhood. More follow-up projects is foreseen in the future.
King’s Products proudly sponsored the Graafwater Special School netball team’s clothing, helping the girls step onto the court in style. With their new kit, the girls can play, compete and have fun on the court. This support helps the students enjoy sport, build teamwork, and show their school spirit with pride.
